As a buyer trying to buy a short sale or a seller trying to sell their short sale… How do you know if it is worth the time and effort that it usually takes to do a short sale?
Most short sales can take anywhere between 3 and 5 months. Here are some tips to help you see if a short sale property will work out for you.

1.Seller needs to have all financial information submitted to the short sale bank.
2. Property must be priced appropriately otherwise bank could reject an offer based off of insufficient comparable properties.
3. As a buyer make sure your agent has asked the selling side where they are in the short sale process to help give you an idea of how long you will be waiting on a particular property and if in the long run it will actually work out for you.
